The Printing Press before refurbishment
Donated by a local benefactor (an ex-Councillor), the old Albion Hand Printing Press lay in an obvious state of disrepair
The old building that it had been found in, then auctioned from, was the dilapidated Thorpe's solicitors, situated in "General Lambert's House" in Narrowgate.
This was a notoriously out-of-date business and it is possible that in decades gone by that this very machine was used in-house there to produce invoices and other minor documents.
